A course is the container for your lessons, quizzes and assignments, and it carries the settings that decide how they are delivered. This walks through the form field by field.

Title
What learners see, on the enrollment page and in the subject lines of the emails they receive.
It has to be unique within your organization: two courses cannot share a title. It also cannot contain a web address — titles are rendered into emails, and a link in one is a phishing pattern rather than a name.
Slug
A short label that becomes part of the course's web address, like intro-to-email-courses. Up to 50 characters, and unique within your organization.
The slug cannot be changed once the course is saved
Everything else on this form can be edited afterwards. Pick a slug you will still be happy with when the course has been running for a year, and keep it short - it is part of every link you share.
Description
Up to 1000 characters, shown on the enrollment page underneath the title. This is the text that decides whether someone hands over their email address, so write it for a stranger who arrived from a link and knows nothing about you.
Say what they will be able to do at the end, and roughly how long it takes.

Optional, shown on the enrollment page and used when the course is shared as a link.
Language
The language your course is written in. It sets the language of the platform's own wording in the emails - the parts you did not write - and it is what makes a right-to-left course render correctly for languages like Arabic, Hebrew or Persian.
It does not translate anything. Your lessons go out exactly as you wrote them.
Who this course is for
An optional line describing the intended audience, such as "beginners with no prior programming experience".
The rest of the settings

After you save
You have a course with nothing in it, switched off. Two things stand between that and a running course, and they are separate on purpose:
Add your lessons and quizzes, and publish each one
Enable the course, which opens it for enrollment
A course can be enabled with nothing published in it, and it will happily enroll learners who then receive nothing at all.
